The most beautiful cats you can see in your life

The most beautiful cats you can see in your life

The smallest of all the four big cats of the Genus Panthera, the Leopard (Panthera pardus) is an Old World mammal of the Felidae family. Known to be mechanistic the leopards are either fully dark or black spotted, those that are fully dark are referred to as black panthers. The leopards now chiefly occur in sub-Saharan Africa. Known to consume nearly any animal that it can catch, the leopard is a successful species in the wild because of its opportunistic hunting. Thought to have shared ancestry the spotted leopard and the Jaguar resemble physically.
They are the strongest climbers compared to any other cat of the same family as they can carry an animal almost double their weight up in the trees just to have a segregated meal high up in the tree. Leopards feed on a variety of creatures ranging from antelopes, baboons, monkeys, birds, fish, rodents and insects. They are efficient and stealthy hunters that kill more than what they need and they store the rest in trees for the future.
Due to human pressure these cats have adapted to living in almost all habitats from forest, grassland, bushes to rocky areas. Leopards that live in golden grasslands are known to have a light buff or orangy brown coat covered with dark, irregular circles referred to as "rosettes," that provide a camouflage amongst the grass. In dense area the coloring of the Leopards is darker compared to that in the grass land.
Always secluded, in trees and nocturnal by nature, the leopards are difficult to identify but can sometimes be seen sun bathing from their favorite spots. Their nocturnal life is attributed to the human pressure and hunting in the parks and in remote areas that these cats chose to come out at night. They are territorial and they avoid each other. They mark their territories using urine and claw marks on trees. They are constantly on the move and are aware of each others location
Females usually give birth to two or more cubs after the gestation period of about 100 days. These Cubs are hidden and protected for about 2 months and they breastfeed for about 3 months. After three months they can now start hunting for themselves. They are also believed to be able to protect themselves from other predators.
Just the most beautiful of all cats the leopards can be found in Africa and countries like Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. They are amongst the most searched for animals in the world. Watching them move slowly through their territories is a wonderful experience and more so when they are hunting: this is just exhilarating.
